semana 34: IM GOING TO MEXICO...ish
December 14, 2021
yayyayayayy!!! little did you guys know that this was my true mission calling :)))))))) IM GOING TO CALEXICO AND IM SO EXCITED!!
However...I'm so sad. My heart has been shattered a little not gonna lie. Coming into this transfer I was so sad to be leaving my "home". It took me 2&1/2 weeks to start liking it here. Why? Because of outside sources saying how hard and awful it was. So I struggled. It wasn't spanish like I wanted. Its basically the junk drawer of California and you don't know what you're gonna get. Until one day it hit me. I gotta start making the most of it before my time here in this area is done. For the first 2&1/2 weeks I STRUGGLED. It was hard. But It started to get easier and i started to break open the members and get to know them and they started letting us in. The last 2&1/2 weeks have been good. Still a little bit of a struggle, but they have been good. The members and the people have started to make me laugh and love it here. I was prepared for another 7 weeks (basically what my mish pres told me) I was so ready to stay here. Then we got the document that said they would be white washing the area and I was SO EXCITED to go to Calexico, but so sad to be leaving this area. The people. The members. The people who reminded me of home.
God truly does have a plan, and we don't see it all. We just have to trust.
I'm so excited to move to the valley and be right next to the border. I'm so excited to have a new chapter in history. It'll be a huge change but I can't wait.
