semana 37: C👽V❗D

feliz año nuevo a todos and happy

c👽v❗d season 🙃

this last week was a week of pan!c porque wards combined for the Christmas Sunday, and because of that, the members who got covid during that weekend passed it off to the missionaries....little did we know is that we hungout with the missionaries who lived with one of the missionaries who had woken up not feeling good...which led to the next day him testing + for c👽v❗d  which led panic to the zone because not everyone was hanging out but most all had come in contact with either the + missionary or the ones that lived with him. then that led to Thursday where literally all companionships got tested and out of 17 members of the zone, 6 of us got quarantined and the rest of us dodged a bullet 🙃 butttt long story short, my companionship is healthy and good to go but we are being supa cautious because of it all haha. so that was the panic of our weekend...poor missionaries tho :,((

friday we were inside all.day.long. which made it feel like we were quarantined and I was not okayyyy hahha our apt is super tiny and just being inside all day stunkkk then we left and ate tamales and sketchy delicious beans and hitting piñatas ! our ward party was like an assisted living home gathering to play board games and eat little sandwiches bc there was nobody there hahahah🤣 then we hit the hay and ummm for all I know we are on day 35 of december or something hahaha! psych that would be very sad ....

saturday we edited videos and such and caught a giant cockroach in a cup. had some pretty solid lessons too!!

sunday was a long day of canceled lessons but we added a family by miracle!! We were trying to visit past friends and we just went to all the houses we could around them and added a family:,)) that was cool to see gods role in that.

little miracle from Wednesday is we walked outside after English class and there was a guy leaning against his car and usually I'm sketched but this time i had the prompting to go up to the car so i walked up and he was like hey you guys are the sisters and I was like yes and he goes great can I give you a family to visit and we were like for sure and he was like I'm a recent convert of 3 years and I want you to teach my FAMILY and I was like okay for sure and it was super awesome we met his family and he actually lives in herriman, Utah so that was sick!! But we are starting to teach his family so wahoo!

And we put one of our friends on date for baptism!!

AND had 3 people at church for the first time!!

here's something that hit a little harder this week tho...we taught a member a lesson and shared Matthew 11:28-30 which was something our president had asked us to study. We decided to share it with her and I've never felt more broken inside. I asked her how that made her feel that heavenly Father and Jesus christ will make our burdens light and she then proceeded to tell me that the church and scriptures meant nothing to her and it's just a bunch of words...and it just shocked me...like how could someone be going to church, praying, and reading the scriptures all the time, but it means nothing to them??? It's just words. It made me so sad. But strengthened my testimony so much more. It helped me know that even tho we pass thru trials and troubles they will make it lighter and help us thru it all. WE, that's right,  WE have to have that desire. Let them in and they will help you. It's not a "oh he wasn't there for me he didn't show up when I asked" no. It depends on you. Did you pray with real intent?? Did you ask God with a sincere heart???? Anyway, that's just my little shpeal and if you haven't done so, then do it!! ask God with full intent, sincerely.

love you all, feliz año nuevo, happy new year!!
